The Beatles are one of the earliest rock band as well as the most influential in the modern era. The band consists of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, most of their songs written by Lennon and McCartney. Their popularity so high in the United Kingdom so that in 1963 the press spawned the term "Beatlemania". They also later success in the United States and around the world.

Formed in Liverpool in 1959 with the formation of the early John Lennon (vocals, guitar), Paul Mc Cartney (vocals, guitar), George Harrison (vocals, guitar), Stuart Sutcliffe (bass) and Pete Best (drums). But not long after Stuart Sutcliffe resigned (moved to Germany and married Astrid Kircherr and died there in 1962 due to bleeding in the brain). Then in 1962 Pete Best to pull out of the Beatles, and his position was replaced by Richard Starkey, aka Ringo Starr.
Manager of The Beatles, Brian Eipstein, was first known by the number of requests buyer Beatles LPs in music store. The first time Brian tried to offer the Beatles to Decca Records, a major label record company at that time. Auditions can be obtained, only Decca management believes that the group had passed the guitar music tenarnya. On July 6, 1957, the Quarrymen perform at a church ceremony at the Church of St. John, Woolton. In this event Lennon first met Paul McCartney, who was watching the appearance of Quarrymen. McCartney was impressed by the appearance of the band, and then went backstage Quarrymen, accompanied by his friend Ivan Vaughan who is also friend Lennon.
Shortly thereafter, McCartney joined the Quarrymen. Lennon and McCartney became very close, and often seen together. Both are involved in the sense of 'same boat' because they lost their mother in his youth. McCartney also lost his mother to cancer at the age of 15 years. Lennon and McCartney began writing songs together and individually. One of the songs produced in this period is 'Hello Little Girl' which later became hits by The Fourmost in the 60s.
Later, McCartney introduced his friend, George Harrison, a year younger thereof to Lennon. Harrison is good at playing the guitar too eager to join the Quarrymen. Lennon, who initially objected because Harrison is considered too young, finally agreed after persuaded McCartney. Harrison joining followed by Stuart Sutcliffe, a friend of Lennon at the School of Art, which became the base. Sutcliffe could not actually play bass, but Lennon insisted on him joining the Quarrymen. First Quarrymen recording their voices in song "That'll be the Day", Buddy Holly song, and "In Spite of All The Danger", an instrumental written by McCartney and Harrison. Both songs, along with the songs that have not previously released, then officially released in 1994, through the album The Beatles Anthology.
Quarrymen on his way several times to change the name, and personnel-personnel come and go. The band was later named 'The Beatles', a name that supposedly invented by Lennon. Allan Williams became their manager, and in 1960 he successfully obtained a contract with a club in Hamburg. The band also later went to Hamburg, consisting of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Stuart Sutcliffe and Pete Best. Best was their drummer at the time. In Hamburg, the Beatles performed every night on a dirty night clubs, and live like singers in a small inn nearby. But then they were deported from Hamburg, because George Harrison was underage to work there.
Upon his return to Liverpool, they performed at the Cavern Club. In this club the Beatles became famous in Liverpool, each show they are always crowded and the queue length. But soon, in the latter part of 1961, the Beatles returned to Hamburg and recorded 'My Bonnie' with Tony Sheridan. Stuart Sutcliffe chose to stay in Hamburg with his girlfriend, Astrid Kircherr, when The Beatles would return to Liverpool. So McCartney took over bass. A few months later Sutcliffe died in Hamburg because of brain disorders.
The Beatles returned to the show regularly at the Cavern Club. In this club, in November 1961, Brian Epstein first saw this band's performance. Epstein is the owner of a music store North End Music Store (Nems) in Liverpool, who knew the Beatles as a customer ask for recorded 'My Bonnie' which the band recorded with Tony Sheridan. Epstein fascinated by the appearance of The Beatles, and later became manager of the band. Epstein offers a demo tape of The Beatles to the recording studios, and repeatedly rejected, as at Decca Records.
Finally, the Beatles received at Parlophone Records, a label that is under the supervision of EMI, with producer George Martin. Terms given Martin is to replace their drummer, Best, who is considered less competent. Best later replaced by Ringo Starr (real name Richard Starkey), drummer from Liverpool who had joined Rory Storm & the Hurricanes. The Beatles released the single 'Love Me Do', which immediately reached number 17 in the UK charts. Their second singles, 'Please Please Me', became their first single to reach the top ranking in the charts.

This success continues. Almost all of their singles reached the top ranking in the UK charts, but 'I Want to Hold Your Hand' in 1964 was the first single which managed to penetrate the United States music industry, as well as initiate the so-called 'British Invasion'. Since then this is the music of the Beatles spread throughout the world, to succeed everywhere, famous in every corner. Their concerts are always packed with fans who are very fanatical, who pursue this band wherever they go. Shouts of fans make the Beatles could not even hear their own voice on stage.

In 1966, the Beatles finally decided to stop the concert. Besides being so noisy audience that their music became audible, the music of The Beatles also had a very developed so it can not be played directly with the technology of that era live performances. This decision addressed widely in the world, who doubt the continuation of this band. But the answer to the Beatles album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in 1967, which is still widely recognized as one of the best albums of all time.

After Epstein's death in 1967, Lennon was the one who is not happy about the actions McCartney who took over leadership of the band. He hated the projects led by McCartney, as the film Magical Mystery Tour and Let It Be. Lennon also became the first person violating the initial agreement of the Beatles, that is to not bring their wives and girlfriends in the recording process, by bringing Yoko Ono in the process of making an album White Album in 1968. Lennon was also among the first states to get out of the Beatles.

After the band broke up in 1970, the feud between Lennon and McCartney continues. One of them is upset because Lennon McCartney preceded him in claiming the demise of The Beatles. Lennon, Harrison and Starr also against McCartney in court in the band dissolved.

Twitter was founded in March 2006 by Evan Williams, Jack Dorsey, and Biz Stone. In 2006 Williams and Biz Stone co-founded Obvious Corp along with other former Odeo employees. Twitter was created as a separate company in April 2007 by Obvious Corp. Jack Dorsey was chief executive officer of Twitter until October 2008 when Williams became CEO and Dorsey shifted to the position of chairman of the board.

Since its creation in 2006, Twitter has become very popular worldwide. Twitter is the fastest growing free micro-blogging software that allows you to keep in touch with people through quick, frequent answers to one question: What are you doing? That one little question has launched a media revolution.

"Tweet" is the term for the 140 maximum character messages posted on Twitter. For tweeting to be effective, it must be done systematically, with posts being made daily. For the average business owner or marketing executive, this can be very impractical because of the time required. Fortunately, technology provides ways to get things done quicker.

One such technology is a tool called BigTweet. BigTweet is a plugin for your Web browser that lets you post a tweet to Twitter by just clicking the BigTweet button, located on your browser's link menu. Highlighting a passage on a web page and clicking the button creates a tweet from the text you highlighted, in addition to the title of the page and a short URL. If you do not highlight any words on the page, then the text of the tweet will just contain the page title and short URL.

Another more powerful technique is to use Tweet Later. Tweet Later is a Twitter management application that lets you accomplish a few critical Twitter tasks automatically. For one, it lets you pre-program "spinnable" tweets in advance. By spinnable, I mean that the tweets can contain alternate words or passages that that software chooses from at random. It's a dynamic technology that allows one tweet to become the basis for numerous unique tweets. Tweet Later will also automatically follow back anyone who follows you and send a personal message to all new followers.

Business people are just now beginning to realize the power of Twitter as an online promotional tool. It seems strange and awkward at first, and it takes some time to get good at it. So don't spin your wheels trying to figure it out. Use tools like BigTweet and Tweet Later to get more done in less time.

History of Facebook

Facebook is a popular social network that has grown to rank with MySpace has. But what is it about Facebook that has special appeal and makes it even more popular than MySpace? What makes Facebook Facebook? And what made it a mega hit?

It all got started back in 2003, as Facemash. Mark Zuckerberg created it, along with help of his friends and roommates Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz. Zuckerberg was in his sophomore year at Harvard when opened it up, as a way to get his mind off his crush.

Facemash placed photos of undergraduate two side by side, and asking the viewers which one is “hotter”. The site was originally only for Harvard, but quickly grew to other colleges, then high schools and finally for anyone over age 13.

After it was initially started, it was forwarded to Harvard’s school admins and it was quickly shut down. Zuckerberg was charged and faced expulsion for breaching privacy.

Later on, Harvard dropped their charges against Zuckerberg. After the charges were dropped, the following semester he recreated Facemash, and opened The Facebook in February 2004.

In 2005, he dropped “the” from the name and URL. Also in September 2005, he launched the High School version of Facebook. When he first started the high school version, each high school had to be invited before being allowed to join the network. Shortly after launching the high school version he started allow companies to have their own networks on Facebook as well.

Now a group of operators, a year after they launched their high school version, they opened it up to the public for everybody over the age of 13.

Syria and Iran have blocked Facebook from being accessed in their countries. Some companies have forbidden it from their offices. It has also been said that Zuckerberg had stolen the code and intellectual property from former classmates of his.

They have been sued more than once and have been the subject of criticism.

In Aug 2007, the code that normally creates the pages for Facebook showed instead of the content, leaving many to wonder if their data on Facebook is even safe.

In February 2009, Facebook changed their privacy policy, causing an up roar along the way. They made it so that their users once upload data onto their servers, that they own all the rights. Even after the user deletes their account. Many users got upset by this, and entered a debate that was all over the internet.

EPIC filed a claim against Facebook with the FTC, while Zuckerberg tried to defend Facebook’s policy change. To do damage control they switched back to their old policies, though they are in the middle of rewriting them again. They will allow users to vote on the new terms, before they are adopted officially.

It has been rumored that a film about Facebook being made, though the Facebook spokesperson has said that they have not agreed to cooperate with anyone about making a film.

A 1.6% stake in Facebook had been sold to Microsoft Corp. for $240 million in October 24th 2007.

Facebook’s history is a mixture of trouble and success from very early on. They have seen more than their share of legal issues and likely will as long as they exist. Currently it is the number one social network with MySpace and Twitter both behind it.

They have over 175 million active users worldwide currently and is growing every day. Though they may have had their share of issues, they still maintain a well kept site that hasn’t gotten lost through the Web 2.0 shuffle.

US con man convicted in 5 slayings dies in Ohio

An elderly con man who pleaded guilty to five slayings in the states of Wisconsin and Ohio has died in prison of natural causes.
Ohio prisons spokesman Carlo LoParo tells The Associated Press that 77-year-old Edward Edwards died Thursday night at the Corrections Medical Center in Columbus, where he was being held.

Edwards' death was first reported Friday by the Daily Jefferson County Union newspaper in Wisconsin.
The Louisville, Kentucky man was sentenced to death after he admitted killing his 25-year-old foster son in 1996. He previously told the AP he confessed to killing Dannie Boy Edwards because he wanted the death penalty.
Edwards also pleaded guilty to killing 21-year-old Bill Lavaco and 18-year-old Judith Straub in 1977. In Wisconsin, he admitted killing 19-year-old sweethearts Tim Hack and Kelly Drew, who disappeared from a wedding reception in 1980.

Japan bans planting rice in radioactive soil

Fears of radiation spread to rice as the planting season began in Japan, prompting the government to ban its cultivation in contaminated soil as fallout leaking from a tsunami-damaged nuclear plant dealt another blow to the national diet.

Vegetables and milk were the first foods that sparked concerns about the safety of Japanese agriculture after the March 11 tsunami flooded the nuclear plant and its reactors began to overheat and spew radiation.

But rice has now come under the microscope as the planting season begins in April and May.

"We had to come up with a policy quickly because we are in planting season," said Agriculture Minister Michihiko Kano, who announced the ban Friday.

The ban will apply to any soil found to contain high levels of radioactive cesium, and farmers who cannot grow rice will be compensated. Rice grown in uncontaminated soil will be screened.

Rice may be particularly vulnerable to absorbing radiation because it has a long growing season.

So far, soil containing cesium that exceeds the new limit has been found in only two places in Iitate, a village about 25 miles (40 kilometers) from the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear complex.

Fukushima, home to the radiation-leaking plant, was the nation's fourth-largest rice producing prefecture (state) last year.

Sacret Turtle Captured In Vietnam Lake

Veterinarians examined a rare giant turtle considered sacred by many Vietnamese at a makeshift hospital in Hanoi on Monday to check mysterious lesions afflicting one of the last four known members of its species.

The giant softshell turtle, which has a shell the size of a desk and is estimated to weigh about 440 pounds (200 kilograms), was pulled from a lake in central Hanoi on Sunday. .

Tests were being run to try to pinpoint what's ailing the creature, said Tim McCormack, program coordinator of the Asian Turtle Program. He said photos taken of it in a holding tank showed injuries on its legs and elsewhere, but it was not yet clear how serious they are. .

It took 50 workers two hours Sunday to net the turtle, put it in a cage and pull it to a small island in Hoan Kiem Lake that was recently expanded and equipped with the small holding tank, known as the "turtle hospital." .

It is the first time anyone has captured the creature, which escaped through two nets during a similar rescue attempt last month. Thousands of onlookers crammed around the lake for a glimpse, which is considered lucky. The crowed whooped and clapped when the turtle was finally captured, but they were pushed back when it was taken to the island. A guard is now posted near the site, allowing entry only to accredited officials. .

Concerns had mounted after the turtle was recently spotted with lesions on its head and shell, prompting the government to form committees and employ hundreds of workers to frantically clean debris and pollution from the lake.

The species, Rafetus swinhoei, is one of the world's most endangered freshwater turtles. There is one other turtle of the same species in Vietnam and two others at zoos in China.

But its value to the nation has more to do with the centuries-old myth than with its rarity.

The mythical turtle is said to have given King Le Loi a divine sword to defeat the Chinese. Later when the king was boating in Hanoi, the turtle snatched back the sword before plunging deep into the water to return it to its divine owners.

Hoan Kiem Lake, which serves as the capital's centerpiece, translates as "Lake of the Returned Sword."

Turkey Tries To Tackle Hooliganism With New Law

Turkey's parliament has approved legislation aimed at stemming hooliganism at football matches and other competitions.


In the latest example of unruly crowd behavior, spectators threw a lighter at Austria goalkeeper Juergen Macho during a 2012 European Championship qualifier in Istanbul on Tuesday. He was not injured.

A large glass bottle was also thrown on the field during a derby between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray in Istanbul on March 18.

With the new legislation, fans can only purchase electronic tickets using government ID numbers, making it easier to track and punish troublemakers.

Fans deemed to be drunk or under the influence of drugs will be refused entry to events, while anyone involved in hooliganism will be barred from competitions for a year.

In a bid to tackle match-fixing, individuals caught bribing players or paying fees to teams as incentives face a maximum 12 years in prison.

Turkey is at the center of a European match-fixing scandal, currently under investigation by police in Germany, in which 270 matches in at least nine domestic leagues and international competitions are under suspicion.

In 2000, two fans of English club Leeds were stabbed to death in Istanbul, ruining Turkey's reputation internationally.

Djokovic beats Nadal to win Sony Ericsson Open

Novak Djokovic won his fourth consecutive tournament Sunday, beating top-ranked Rafael Nadal 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4) in a grueling final at the Sony Ericsson Open.

Djokovic has won 26 consecutive matches since December, and his record of 24-0 in 2011 is the best to begin a year since Ivan Lendl started 25-0 in 1986.

The No. 2-ranked Djokovic was pushed the distance by Nadal on a sunny, hot afternoon. They played for nearly 3{ hours, and it was Djokovic who looked fresher at the finish.

"It was such a close match," he said. "To win against the No. 1 player of the world in a tiebreak in the third set, it's just incredible."

He pulled a forehand winner cross-court on the final point for his second Key Biscayne title. He also won in 2007.

Djokovic beat Nadal in the final at Indian Wells two weeks ago and is 8-0 against top-10 opponents this year. He's the first man to win Indian Wells and Key Biscayne back to back since Roger Federer in 2006.

As the victories mount, his popularity rises. Djokovic seemed to have at least half the record capacity crowd of 14,625 in his corner. Fans frequently chanted "No-le! No-le!" - his nickname. In response came chants of "Ra-fa! Ra-fa!"

Djokovic fell behind early, losing his serve for the first time in the tournament. Twice he smashed his racket, but he gradually climbed back. Both players held throughout the final set, and it finally swung Djokovic's way when Nadal double-faulted for the sixth time to fall behind 3-2 in the tiebreaker.

Djokovic won the next three points as well, and the exchanges left a weary Nadal bending over as he tried to recover.

"This is one of the best matches I've played in a while," Djokovic said. "I was able to find my rhythm at the end of the first set, and then throughout the whole second and third set I played quite well, especially on my service games."

When Djokovic closed the victory, he jumped with delight and signaled to encourage more cheers from the roaring crowd. It's a familiar routine for the Serb: His other titles this year came at the Australian Open and Dubai.

The two finalists will keep the same rankings, even though Nadal hasn't won a tournament since Tokyo in October. He was trying for his first Key Biscayne title after having been runner-up in 2005 and 2008.

The Result of AC Milan Vs Inter Milan Today

AC Milan put itself in pole position to win the Serie A after beating Inter Milan 3-0 and extending its lead over Inter in the standings to five points on Saturday.

"We may be five points ahead, but we have seven games to play and there are 21 points on offer and we can't make any mistakes," Milan coach Massimo Allegri said. "When we are mathematically unreachable we will celebrate, but thinking about those things now is pointless and just wastes energy."

Milan was the better side throughout and managed to completely nullify the influence of Wesley Sneijder and Samuel Eto'o.

Alexandre Pato scored twice, while defender Cristian Chivu was sent off for pulling the Brazilian down as he raced through on goal early in the second half.

Pato's first came in the opening minute, and the second was soon after Inter went down to 10 men. Antonio Cassano made it three with a penalty one minute from time.

Cassano then became the second player to be sent off. He was booked after taking his shirt off in celebration, then fouled Ivan Cordoba to earn a second yellow card and an automatic one-match suspension.

"We stayed calm and played good football," Allegri said. "We didn't let Inter have many chances to score and we had a lot of chances ourselves.

"I am sorry about Cassano's sending off, but that aside it was a good evening. Of course Casano could have avoided making the foul."

Both teams have seven games remaining and Inter could be overtaken by Napoli if it beats Lazio on Sunday.

"I don't believe it is over, but five points is five points and that is a lot," Inter coach Leonardo said. "The early

goal really affected the match ad gave Milan a confidence boost. If we had equalized before halftime it would really have changed the game.

"We are a mature team though and won't get too worked up by this result."

Milan scored with the first attack of the game. Gennaro Gattuso linked up with Pato to set up Robinho with a chance. Iner goalkeeper Julio Cesar deflected the ball into the Pato's path and he slotted it into the empty net.

Pato then nearly turned provider when he crossed to the far post, but Robinho was just short when he slid in.

Referee Nicola Rizzoli then waved away Milan's appeals for a penalty after Clarence Seedrf volleyed Ignazio Abate's cross at Maicon.

The best Inter managed in the opening exchanges was a free kick by Sneijder which he blasted high and wide, and seconds later Milan re-exerted its dominance of the opening period when Seedorf volleyed over the bar when Inter failed to clear a corner.

Eventaully Giampaolo Pazzini squeezed between Gianluca Zambrotta and Alessandro Nesta to fire in a shot, but Milan 'keeper Christian Abbiati had the relatively simple task of stopping it with his knees.

Pato and Zambrotta went close with long-range shots as Milan maintained the pressure on Inter's goal, and Interdefender Andrea Ranocchia had to react quickly to stop Pato, who had been played in behind Inter's defense.

Milan continued to press for a second and Robinho was given a yellow card after he tumbled theatrically in the box in a vain attempt to win a penalty.

In the 38th Mark Van Bommel let fly with a long-range shot that came back off the bar and into the grasp of a grateful Cesar.

Inter was convinced that it had equalized when Thiago Motta's header was stopped by an athletic save by Abbiati, but Rizzoli said it hadn't crossed the line.

Nine minutes into the second half Inter was reduced to 10 men when Chivu was sent off for tripping Pato. Kevin Prince Boateng played the Brazilian into space behind the Inter defense and as he bore down on goal Chivu brought him down just outside the area.

From the free kick Van Bommel's shot was punched away by Cesar.

"I wanted to keep going but he kicked me on the back of the foot and I went down," Pato said. "The referee sent him off and we had the penalty. I am happy as the referee did the right thing because it was a definite goalscoring opportunity."

Milan doubled its lead in the 62nd when Seedorf picked out Abate unmarked on the right of the area and he crossed to the far post where Pato prodded the ball home.

Inter immediately brought on last season's leading scorer Diego Milito for the increasingly isolated Pazzini, but it had little effect.

Mathieu Flamini set up Robinho for a shot that Cesar parried and Ranocchia then flung himself in the way of Boateng's effort.

Robinho had another chance, but after going round Cesar, Cordoba got back to block his shot. Cesar then made another save when he denied Boateng.

One minute from time Inter captain Javier Zanetti completed a miserable night for his team when he bundled over Cassano. The substitute picked himself up and secured the result for Milan to beat Inter twice in the league for the first time since 2003-04.

FIFA to study PSSI congress aftermath: Delegate

A representative of the Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) congress that continued despite an order to disband says that world soccer governing body FIFA will evaluate the congress’ outcome.

“We have received an email reply from FIFA director of Member Associations and the Development Thierry Regenass saying that the federation would first study the results of the congress,” Tuti Dau, a delegate from Persepal Palangkaraya soccer club, told reporters on Sunday.

The Riau congress was cancelled by PSSI secretary-general Nugraha Besoes on Saturday night after raucous protests from allegedly excluded delegates.

Nugraha’s move was mooted by attending delegates, who determined they had a quorum of 78 delegates and could proceed with the congress, Antara reported.

Usman Pakaubun, elected to lead the congress after the cancellation, said that he sent an email to FIFA on Sunday at 4:30 a.m.

Nugraha declined to comment on the congress’ continuation, saying he would wait for FIFA’s response.

The 100 voting delegates who were to have attended the congress were comprised of representatives from 23 provincial PSSI offices, 15 super league soccer clubs, 14 Division I clubs, 12 Division II clubs and 10 Division III clubs.

The congress continued with its scheduled agenda on Saturday night and elected members of the PSSI’s selection and appeals committees.

The delegates also upheld article 35 of the PSSI’s Statutes, which requires that candidates for the post of chairman and executive committee members to not have been found guilty in criminal offense, and also restored the membership of those involved in the rival Indonesian Premier League.

“We sent the results to the Asian Football Confederation, the Indonesian Sports Council [KONI] and the Indonesian government,” Usman said.

Persiwa Wamena soccer club manager John Banua said the congress was legitimate due to the presence of a majority of voting delegates, despite Nugraha’s cancellation.

Selection committee head Harbiansyah Hanafi said the congress would not launch a coup d’etat against the current PSSI leadership — as long as they accommodated the aspirations of the delegates.

“We certainly let the current officials continue their work until the next congress,” Harbiansyah said in a post-congress conference on Saturday night.

However, Harbiansyah said, the delegates would likely take control of the PSSI to continue preparations for its election in April if the current leadership declined to uphold the congress’ results.

“We will continue the preparations for the congress, which is set before April 30. The location of the congress will be decided later during the selection committee’s internal meeting,” Harbiansyah, chief of Persisam Samarinda soccer club, said.

On the preparations, Harbiansyah said the team would verify candidates using FIFA’s standards, which stipulate, in part, that executive committee members must “… have previously been active in football [and] must not have been previously found guilty of a criminal offence…”.

The row over the national soccer association's leadership has turned into political wrangling between a number of elites in political parties vying for power in the organization, House of Representatives deputy speaker Pramono Anung says.

Pramono said both statutes of PSSI and the world soccer regulator FIFA stipulate that the government plays a supervisory role.

Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Andi Mallarangeng announced Monday that the government no longer acknowledged the PSSI leadership under its chairman Nurdin Halid and secretary-general Nugraha Besoes. The statement came on the heels of a disorderly PSSI congress in Pekanbaru, Riau, on Saturday.
